Riverdale's fourth season has continued the show's trend of baffling its viewers beyond belief. This time, however, there are no supernatural creatures or brainwashing cults - just more absolutely bonkers storytelling and off-the-wall characters.

This season has been built around the supposed murder of Jughead Jones as a series of flash-forwards have alluded to his death and the potential suspects involved in the apparent atrocity. Meanwhile, the season itself has been busy getting our characters to this point in time, taking them all in different directions in order to make the Spring Break flash-forwards a reality.

But it seems to be a hard year for everyone in Riverdale, as Betty's reunions with brother Charles have sparked the unveiling of dark secrets, Jughead's new school isn't the friendliest of places and Archie's good-hearted attempts to save the town has prompted backlash from some of its lowest characters.

However, its midseason finale, titled 'Chapter Sixty-Six: Tangerine', unveiled some darker truths and left most viewers scratching their heads (which isn't really all that new in Riverdale to be honest) which leaves the season in a rather disturbing place. But what does it all mean?
