Sex Education is returning, and while there isn't a clear date yet, it's going to be in 2021. With the release on its way and a lot of loose ends to tie up, there are a certain amount of plot points that fans are hoping to see get addressed in the next season.

The series has some of the best characters, narratives and topical lessons seen on any streaming service, and as such, everyone is hoping that season three brings even more. While the show has been incredibly packed with information and fantastic sequences, there are still a tonne of elements that haven't had a fair share of the spotlight, and the coming season has a chance to rectify that. If the writers achieve all of the following entries in the show's third instalment, then viewers are certainly in for a treat.

A note before beginning. There are loads of new characters coming, and this article won't be addressing them, as their nature is not entirely decided yet, however that does not mean to say that their inclusion won't be a fantastic new direction for the show.

This list will contain massive spoilers for seasons one and two.

10. Viv And Jackson Growing Closer

One of the breakout stars of Sex Education's second season was Vivienne Odesanya. This new character was first presented as an almost robotic workaholic who was paired with Jackson as a personal tutor, but eventually evolved into a loving and loyal companion. While they started with some difficulty, their story would become incredibly compelling, as Viv acted as a great friend to Jackson, and even caused some major conflict after she talked to his parents about his self-harming.

This was a significant part of the last season, and now that Jackson seems to be heading in a new direction - more on that later - it's vital that Viv goes along with him. Their last scene was a beautiful moment where the pair realised the importance of their friendship, and this is something that has to be developed in the third season.

While their first storyline mostly centred around Jackson, the two must grow closer, and a great way to do this would be to see Viv letting Jackson into some of the more personal issues of her life. Seeing him take on a caring and thoughtful role towards her would solidify their strong dynamic and add some development for Viv.
