5. Unser To The Rescue

As the former sheriff relayed to Jax at the scene of the shooting, Wayne Unser never had to take a life in the line of duty, yet here he is as a returned cancer patient on borrowed time being forced to kill to protect someone he cares about, all thanks to a mess created by SAMCRO. Leland, the drugged up hillbilly underling Aryan Brotherhood member decided Officer Eglee had to be silenced lest she tell the other cops what she knows about the murder of her partner, so--thanks to a tip from one of his buddies, coerced via a bullet to his junk--he heads to the hospital to pay her a visit from his pistol. But the Sons are able to send word to Unser and he sets a trap for the neo-Nazi junkie, and after a brief scuffle shoots him dead in the hospital bathroom. He's shaken up over the ordeal, but all parties were just glad he was able to stop it. This gets rid of the club's biggest roadblock toward a harmonious business arrangement with the AB and probably earns a little more loyalty from Eglee, who's already protecting them by keeping quiet about what she knows.
