"Today is a black day" When we last left our (anti)heroes, The Sons of Anarchy were recklessly charging headfirst into a war with the Triad and the Mayans and had unwittingly betrayed one of their closest long-time allies in Jury and the Indian Hills charter. Jax Teller, the normally cool-headed MC president who always has a plan formulating in his mind, seemed to be operating as a loose cannon, sinking the club deeper and deeper into troubled waters with no bridge in sight. This week saw an escalation of that plotline, reinforcing that Jax is going full-on scorched earth with the Sons and their business dealings, while he attempts to solidify his alliance with the Niners should SAMCRO run afoul of August Marks. Meanwhile we saw Juice, the embattled outsider reach out for a way to get back on the inside with the only family he has in this world, and he was rejected by the Son he was closest to. Sheriff Althea Jerry has rode into Charming and apparently has a very different agenda than both Eli Roosevelt and David Hale. It was another action-packed episode, as they all tend to be, and Kurt Sutter appears to be keeping the throttle fully cranked for the duration of the final season.
