10. Sweet & Vaded (S6E7)

Towards the end of her life, Tara Knowles became increasingly scared for the future of her sons, and paranoid that the club would corrupt their entire lives. She had a more than valid point, but as she began scheming to get them safe, she essentially became a different character altogether.

Ironically, in order to try and save her family from the Sons of Anarchy, she had to use some skills that without the exposure to the club she would never have learned. She lied, deceived, and manipulated her way into an advantageous position against Gemma.

Her plan was to get a restraining order against the boys' grandmother. To do this she came up with a ridiculously convoluted plan that involved her faking a pregnancy for some time. She then riled Gemma up just enough, and faked being attacked by her. One blood pack under the jumper and a bump on the edge of a table later, she faked a miscarriage at Gemma's fault.

Not only was this tough to watch, it hit home just how much Tara had changed. And not for the better, either within the walls of the narrative or as a TV character. Things had got a little too ridiculous, and fans were about ready to see the end of Tara at this moment.
