Sons Of Anarchy: Every SAMCRO Member's Death Ranked From Worst To Best

Landmines, betrayal, and the ultimate sacrifice. Just another day for the Sons of Anarchy.

The Sons of Anarchy is less a Motorcycle Club, and more a brotherhood and a family. After at least a year of prospecting, if someone is welcomed within the club, they are expected to be loyal to their brothers, even to the point that they would die for them without hesitation.

While this breeds loyalty and trust, things without which the club would crumble before long, it does mean that many of the members do ultimately meet their demise earlier than planned. It is a dangerous life, and many of the brothers paid the ultimate price for it.

Between seasons one and seven, there were no fewer than 22 men to wear the SAMCRO patch, with 15 of them dying before the series ended. This led to more members being brought in, which essentially just gave Kurt Sutter and the writers more characters to kill off.

Some died valiantly defending their patch and the brothers that wore it the same, while others were murdered in cold blood, sometimes by someone they would have classed as one such brother. There was no shortage of deaths at the SAMCRO table, some of which were far more heartbreaking, more powerful, or more meaningful than others.

14. Orlin West

When SAMCRO found their ranks growing thinner and thinner, Bobby left to do some recruiting. One of the newest members of Jax's charter brought in by the former VP was Orlin West from Sons of Anarchy, Reno. He was there because he was smart and loyal, but he didn't last long after putting on the Redwood Original patch.

As part of Jax's misguided war against Henry Lin's crew, the Sons stole money, drugs, and guns from one of the Triads' deals. They tried to sell off the drugs to Tully's Aryan crew, and they stored the guns in a warehouse at the Stockton Port under the protection of Charlie Barosky.

The problem with trusting a dirty cop, however, is that if you are outbid, you are in trouble. Charlie betrayed the Sons and sent Lin to the warehouse for the proof that it was Jax and co. that took his guns.

West was on guard duty at the time, and swiftly met his demise. Outside of helping Bobby recover from being shot in the shoulder, and doing a lot of standing around, West wasn't really able to contribute a great deal to SAMCRO before he was unceremoniously killed by Lin's crew off-screen.
