Star Trek: 10 Best Romulan Episodes
10. Message In A Bottle
While the USS Voyager is stuck in the Delta Quadrant, it still had some contact with the traditional villains of Star Trek. The Romulans were no exception. In the season 4 episode Message In A Bottle, Seven On Nine finds an ancient sensor array which they can utilise to contact the Federation. The crew figure out how to send a signal, so they decide the best thing to do is transmit the entire Doctor over to the Alpha Quadrant.
The Doctor finds himself onboard the brand-new prototype USS Prometheus, a multi-vector assault ship made to combat the Borg and the Dominion. Unfortunately, it gets captured by the dastardly Romulans and it's up to Voyager's Doctor to take the ship back. He's helped in this by the Prometheus Mark II EMH, played hilariously by Andy Dick.
Featuring a great space battle with a pursuing Federation taskforce and the duplicitous Commander Rekar, this episode is regarded as one of the best Voyager episodes. There's also a brief foreshadow of a new villain within this episode, as the owners of the ancient sensor array make themselves known, the dangerous Hirogen.
