Star Trek: 10 Riker Romances That Were A TOTAL Security Risk

2. Beware Of Admirers Bearing Gifts

This episode is haunting us.

But it has to be said, The Game is a prime example of Riker having zero willpower when it comes to ladies offering something that's too good to be true.

The episode opens with Riker and a charming young woman chasing each other around a Risa resort suite like they're in a Carry On film. She throws his communicator out of the window, and while his mouth says, 'I don't believe you did that', his face says he's kind of into it. Which tells you exactly where this highly trained officer's mind is, because even James Bond would have noticed that red flag.

Her next move is to put a headset on Riker, claiming it's just a game that's doing the rounds. Still, Riker's honeytrap detector doesn't go off. Instead, he settles in for a disconcerting game of cone and disc that delivers pleasurable sensations for each level cleared.

Unfortunately, it's also a highly addictive mind-controlling device, and when Riker takes it back to the Enterprise, it sweeps through the ship like...well, maybe it's best not to say.

Turns out, that charming young woman is in fact a Ktarian agent, and seducing Riker to gain control of the Enterprise was part of a bigger plan to enthral Starfleet. And she would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for those meddling kids. Namely Wesley Crusher and Robin Lefler.

You have to admit, the fact that she chose Will Riker as her target, with an entire fleet to pick from, pretty much says it all.
