Ever met a Star Trek fan that didnt like Worf? No, me neither. Usually, it takes quite a while for fans to really get into a TV series. However, with Captain Worf, the fan interest is already there. Star Trek fans universally LOVE Worf and would likely be extremely eager to revisit the character. From the moment this (amazingly, last-minute) addition to TNGs crew compliment debuted, he has been incredibly popular with fans. This is partly due to the fact that everybody loves a Klingon, but mainly it is thanks to a winning combination of great writing and Michael Dorns magical portrayal of the character. Building a world around an older (and wiser) Worf would certainly generate (and hold) fan interest. In addition, making the show a very fan friendly series, via the use of online polls regarding which aliens ought to return/which characters could come back, for example, would make good use of social networking and likely do brisk business for the hypothetical show.
