Star Wars: 10 Classic Characters Returning To TV
10. Boba Fett
During the first act of Return of the Jedi, Boba Fett was sent directly into the Sarlaac Pit and, much to the horror of Star Wars fans, it seemed that his story would end there.
It was a pretty underwhelming conclusion for such a fan-favourite, and it was always depressing to think he would spend the next few thousand years being slowly devoured.
Expanded Universe stories resurrected him, of course, but those stopped being canon once Disney took charge of the Star Wars franchise. Now, the iconic bounty hunter is set to make his return in season two of The Mandalorian, with Temuera Morrison (who took on the role of Jango Fett in Attack of the Clones and later the Clone Troopers) set to play this older version of the character.
He was first teased during season one of the hit Disney+ series, but it doesn't sound like he will have his familiar armour. Instead, Cobb Vanth (played by Timothy Olyphant) will have somehow got his hands on that as the self-appointed sheriff of the Tatooine-based settlement Freetown.
However, there's a very good chance Fett will come gunning for him.
