6. Down - Barely Any Maul

Even though he's only appeared in a handful of episodes before this season, Maul is perhaps one of Clone Wars' greatest characters.

Formerly Palpatine's Sith apprentice, Maul, then Darth Maul, fought as 1/3 of the greatest lightsaber battle ever in the otherwise lackluster Phantom Menace. He kills Qui-Gon Jinn, Obi-Wan's master, before Obi-Wan chops Maul in half. Long thought to be dead, Clone Wars reveals that Maul had survived his fall, and his de-half-itation, and had been lying in wait, hell bent on revenge.

After a cameo in the previous episode, Together Again, fans couldn't wait to see Maul back in action. However, he didn't do much in this episode, aside from one line at the cliffhanger ending. Hopefully, Maul will play a much bigger role throughout the story arc.
