10. Kenner Toy

The Imperial Troop Transport, or Reconnaissance Troop Transporter, was a toy made by the now defunct company Kenner between A New Hope and The Empire Strikes Back, and was unusual for the fact that it never actually appeared in one of the films.

That’s something Rebels creator Dave Filoni was very much aware of when deciding to use the design in the show, telling Collider:

“We needed a transport for the Imperials, and I said, ‘How about that old Kenner one? I had that. I loved that thing.’”

It first appeared in the episode Fighter Flight, meaning it only took just over 30 years for it to move from toy to screen.
