Detective Jim Hopper is a fierce protector of the kids of Hawkins, except, it seems, when he needs candy to make it up to Eleven. After first driving away from the child, he then reverses all the way back, demands his candy, and when that doesn't work actually pays him for it. Not quite like taking candy from a baby, but still odd to see all the same.
