Supergirl Season 4: 3 Ups & 2 Downs From ‘Fallout’

Last week, Supergirl returned to The CW with its impressive season premiere, setting up an interesting narrative revolving around the perception and rights of aliens in the United States of America, kick-starting a powerful conversation between some of is characters (and its viewers). It also teased us with the season's new threat, Agent Liberty, who spearheaded the anti-alien initiative along with his colleagues Mercy and Otis Graves.
However, the time for teasing was over in this week's outing, which saw President Olivia Marsdin (Lynda Carter) face the music as the world discovered that she was actually an alien. In a rather shocking turn of events, she willingly stood down to avoid chaos as a new president was sworn in. Unfortunately, Agent Liberty loves chaos and was willing to use Mercy to spread it for him.
With more powerful conversations, important messages and good old fashioned logic laced into its storylines, Supergirl once again proved that it's a force to be reckoned with and, aside from a minor issue here and there, it was a solid followup to its strong premiere. First, let's talk about the positives.
