Supergirl Season 4: 5 Ups & 1 Down From 'All About Eve'

1. Not All About Eve
Given the episode's title, you would be forgiven for thinking that the episode was going to be all about Eve Teschmacher. Unfortunately, it wasn't that simple.
In a way, the episode was about "Miss Teschmacher" as it told us all about her obsession with Lex, ultimately leading Alex, Lena and Supergirl to investigate her in the hopes that it would lead to them to both her and her boss. While this certainly progressed the plot adequately, it did so without any real involvement of Eve herself. As a result, the only real information we discovered, we had to be told instead of shown.
Ever since turning her back on Lena and aligning with Lex, Eve has become a lot more of an intriguing character but, unfortunately, that wasn't the case here. Not only was she absent for the majority of the episode that was supposed to be about her, she was merely utilised as a convenient plot device during her few brief appearances - helping the Red Daughter instead of Lex because, apparently, Jon Cryer wasn't available for this episode.
Since her unexpected heel turn, 'All About Eve' was the least important Eve episode yet.
