Episode: "The Convention Conundrum" (Season 7, Episode 14)
In this episode, Sheldon and his friends are unable to get tickets to Comic-Con and so Sheldon tries to set up his own comic convention. He tries to wrangle some celebrity guests and even manages to track down James Earl Jones in a restaurant to ask him if he wants to appear at Sheldon-Con. At first, it looks certain that Jones will hit Sheldon with his 59th celebrity restraining order, but it turns out that Jones is thrilled to meet a Star Wars fan and the two go out for a wild night on the town.
When a big name guest stars on a TV show, all one can ask is that they be a good sport. In this episode, James Earl Jones was one of the greatest sports in the history of TV guest stars. From screaming atop a Ferris wheel, to crooning in a karaoke bar, and even stripping off and going into a sauna, Jones engaged in a wide variety of onscreen silliness - what's more, he did all of it with giddy excitement and a twinkle in his eye.
It's like he truly enjoyed being there and the audience very much shared that sentiment and won't forget his guest appearance in a hurry.
