The Boys Season 3: 10 Burning Questions We Already Have

Homelander surely won't just leave Ryan alone will he?

By Scott Banner /

When Amazon Prime first brought The Boys to our screens in 2019, we had no idea the guts and horror we were in for. It was diabolical. Even fans of the comics themselves were surprised by what Billy and Hughie got up to.

Season two was said to be even bigger and more explosive than the first, a promise that was kept and then some. Introducing new characters, new powers, and featuring more exploding heads than ever before, the second instalment of the show featured some of the most shocking moments ever.

But where can it go from here for season three? While the finale of season two wrapped up the narrative of the eight episodes well, there were certainly new threads dangled for the already confirmed third season, and uncertainty over the future arcs of several characters.

There are precious few details available so far for the next instalment of The Boys, and even those have ultimately raised more questions than answers.

It may be some time before we these characters back on our screens, but it's never too early to start looking forward to it.

10. Will We See Stormfront Again?

After Homelander succeeded in forcing everyone to despise him in season one, Stormfront took over as the main villainous superhero in season two, making her Seven colleague look like a pussycat in comparison. Her racist views and indifference to innocent casualties made her nothing short of intolerable.

By the end of the season, the hero formerly known as Liberty suffered greatly at the hands of Ryan, who scorched her so badly she lost both legs, one arm, and endured horrific burns to the majority of her body.

It would have been easy to assume that Stormfront died from these injuries, and that her time in the show was done, however Homelander announced that she was in fact still alive and being held prisoner by Vought. Of course, this leaves the door open for the supe to return in season three.

Though Aya Cash was only under contract for the eight episodes of season two, there's nothing stopping a renegotiation to bring her back. Why else go to the trouble of confirming that she is still alive if there were no future plans for her?
