6. Tease Next Season

A show can easily get too caught up in its own future. It€™s a classic mistake to spend so much time setting up future plot lines that writers forget about the present and the show suffers as a result. But to completely ignore where next year on The Flash is headed isn€™t a good way to get viewers to turn back in either. As the season is winding to a close, The Flash ought to start dropping a few hints soon about what we€™re in store for next year. That doesn€™t necessarily mean flat-out revealing who the big bad will be or what kind of time jump we€™ll be in for, but it should hint at where the characters€™ journeys are all headed. A few indications is all that€™s needed and considering how the show often employs stingers before the end credits, it€™s not hard to imagine how a few of those could give us things to speculate about all summer long.
