The Flash is always going to have subplots, villains of the week, and character developments that dont directly pertain to the big bad. That said, in the third act of this season, all of those facets need to start mainlining towards the singular storyline of stopping Zoom. These extraneous elements have to feel essential in some way to that main storyline and should all be helping the plot and characters to move forward. Many of these elements help round of the show but now is the time to be focusing in instead of branching out. This is another instance of the show needing to find balance. A constant focus on Zoom and nothing else will make viewers sick of him, but not enough focus on stopping him and his threat wont feel important enough. The Flash is never going to be without distractions, but if it could find a way to limit them and showcase the final conflict with Zoom instead, it would really put Season 2 out on a high note.
