The Flash: 10 Things We Learned From The Season 2 Premiere

6. Team Flash Disbanded...

In the wake of the singularity and Ronnie’s death, Team Flash has disbanded. While they all take it pretty hard, it’s Barry who really deals with the guilt of not being able to save Ronnie, and blames himself for not being able to stop the singularity on his own.

In the months between seasons, Caitlin, Cisco and Joe have all gone back to their day jobs, despite their desire to stay and help. It’s Barry who has pushed them away, trying to do everything himself and refusing to put his friends at risk anymore, even though they're all willing to potentially put themselves in harm's way.

We see this lone-wolf hero act done almost every other episode on Arrow, but it’s surprisingly a nice fit here for The Flash. This show will always been on the lighter side but these brief moments of darkness remind us that everything is not right in Barry’s world and that he too faces adversity. Of course, this is The Flash, so that darkness would dissipate fairly quickly...
