8. The Three Replacement Wells That Never Were

While Tom Cavanagh usually spends each season as one (and occasionally two) iteration of Harrison Wells, there are often chances for him to cameo as different, more unique versions of the character.

The first of those chances came at the beginning of Season 3 as Harry attempted to help them find his replacement. The options were the French-speaking Harrison Wells (who just so happened to be professional mime), the cowboy-like Hells Wells and Earth-17's Steampunk-inspired genius.

Naturally, none of them were deemed a fitting replacement by Harry himself and this eventually paved the way for H.R. to take over. Their lack of screen-time makes it hard for them to compete with any of the other Wells to appear on the show, but they sure gave Tom Cavanagh a few chances to run wild as an actor.
