Vandal Savage is undoubtably a cool character, and a promising big bad for Legends Of Tomorrow, but it feels like the show has only scratched the surface of exactly who he is. Hes an immortal, whos hunting down Hawkman and Hawkgirl to steal their life force and power himself, but thats all there is to know right now. With such a unique background, that opens up a whole host of questions. How has he become immortal? How can he be stopped? What are his ties to Khufu and Shayera? Thats only a few of the many things fans are no doubt clamouring to know about this villain, all of which will hopefully be answered in Legends Of Tomorrow. Its hard to even look at the comics and use that as a guide since this incarnation of the character appears to be very different. He certainly looks the part, and the accent is a nice twist, but the actual backstory seems very new. In fact, he more closely resembles the character of Hath-Set, a rebellious Egyptian priest who kills the Hawks with a cursed dagger that binds them all into a cycle of reincarnation. Could that be who this character really is?
