Another week of The Flash, and another case of Jay Garrick being completely MIA. It's not the first time that the original Flash has been left out of an entire episode, but it was nonetheless jarring giving that the past couple of instalments have at least attempted to give him some sort of meaningful storyline. Any possible momentum that had built up - mostly, the fact that his doppelgänger is called Hunter Zolomon - has gone again, and it's just yet more poor and weird handling of this character. He doesn't have speed, he's not massively needed by Team Flash, and he's dying and the only way to prevent that is stopping Zoom, something he can't help with all that much. In that regard, it's probably understandable that he might just be moping around, but it's still odd when he doesn't appear at all, especially if they want us to care about the character.
