If getting spotted by your past self and having to fight said past self was a spanner in the works for Barry Allen, things went from bad to worse for the Scarlet Speedster when he was quickly rumbled by Harrison Wells.

Standing up from his wheelchair, Wells wastes no time in clocking Barry upside the back of his head and rendering him unconscious. From there, hed tie Barry to his totally-not-needed wheelchair and would even come close to calling future Barry.
So yeah, this whole crazy plan of Barrys went wrong in just about every possible way up until this point. Luckily the Sultan of Speed is a quick thinker, meaning that hed just about salvage things and, yknow, stop Wells from killing him.
