For the second time in this aptly-titled The Reverse-Flash Returns, we got to see the Scarlet Speedster match-up against his greatest enemy, the Man in the Yellow Suit, Eobard Thawne. This battle between these two speedsters was the highlight of the episode and certainly a major WTF in how we saw Barry Allen acting. What we were given was a Barry who was full of aggression, of memories of pain and suffering, of vengeance, and of brutality. After all, the man Barry was going up against was the man who killed his mother, caused his father to be locked up for over a decade, and who caused so much torment to the Allens for years. So, with the chance to fight Eobard Thawne, The Flash goes total badass. Yes, this was a Flash who was more like Green Arrow in his approach, as in he brutalised his foe, beating him to a bloody pulp, and only coming to his senses after some timely words from the S.T.A.R. Labs crew.
