You can kind of see Barry Allens point when Patty confronts him about how she didnt want things to get weird between them. Does she really expect to see a singing, dancing, smiling Barry after shes just announced her plans to up and leave Central City, rendering Barry as an ex-boyfriend in the process? Patty then has a bit of a dig at Barry for him not even trying to half-heartedly persuade her to stay. You could say that this is Patty being a bit of a d*ck and messing with him after all, who announces theyre leaving just to then get p*ssed off that theyre not being begged to stay? but this still feels a little off for Barry to not at least make some sort of effort to get his supposed one true to stick around. Then again, we viewers know that Barry Allen has a whole other side to his life, which only backs up why hes not doing more to convince Patty to stay in Central City.
