When it was revealed earlier in the season that Francine had given birth to a son unbeknownst to Joe, it was expected that Wally West would be brought into the fold at some point just maybe not until much later in the second half of Season 2. Of course, that wasnt the case, with Wally making a festive stop at Joes door during the closing moments of the mid-season finale, Running to Stand Still. It was a big shocker to both Joe and Iris, and now fans eagerly await what Wallys role will be as the show progresses. After all, in the comic book realm, Wally West is the nephew of Iris West and is a speedster in his own right, taking on the mantle of Kid Flash before eventually even becoming The Flash after Barry sacrificed himself to save the planet during Crisis on Infinite Earths. In The CWs Flash, Wally is instead depicted as Iris brother and, although a speedster-based future could lie ahead for him, its expected that the show will be taking things slow with this potential Flash-in-waiting.
