One of the most ambitious things that Season 1 of The Flash tried to pull off, and massively succeeded with, was introducing Gorilla Grodd. After all, Grodd is a super-strong, super-genius psionic gorilla. Given how The Flash shared a universe with a very grounded Arrow, many had their reservations about Grodd reservations that were not needed. With Grodd returning to the fold in Season 2 to the cheers of many, the biggest shock of the Gorilla Warfare episode was how it ended with Grodd sent over to Earth-2 and to Gorilla City! In the comic book realm, Gorilla City is the home to Grodd and a whole host of similar super-powered great apes. Its another one of those things that you thought The Flash would completely steer clear of, yet it was hugely rewarding and grin-inducing to long-time DC fans to see the comic book home of Grodd appear, even if it was briefly. From previous comments from the guys behind the show, it appears that this may not be the last that well see of Gorilla City or Grodd, so keep your eyes peeled(!) get it peeled banana gorilla right, Ill get my coat.
