Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, along with his partner in crime Heat Wave, was one of the big recurring villains of the first season, eventually making a pact that Flash wouldn't trap him in prison, if Cold wouldn't reveal his identity, and then working together to transfer metahumans to Ferris Aircraft, before double-crossing him. The pair are confirmed to be appearing on The CW's next spin-off show, DC's Legends of Tomorrow, but there will still be a Snart in Central. Michael Ironside, known for his roles in the likes of Top Gun and Total Recall, will be playing his father, Lewis. He'll be a career criminal and an abusive father to Leonard and his sister Lisa (aka Golden Glider). He is described as "cold-blooded ruthless," and after getting out of prison he returns to the city with "a plan that will endanger both of his children." That means that not only is the Snart family patriarch appearing, but his kids will be back once again before Legends of Tomorrow starts in January (and, you'd assume, a few times after that as well).
