Remember how exciting the promise of Jay Garrick was? He was the first character to come over from Earth Two! He was a fellow speedster! He's the original Flash! Then he turned up, and instead of being this slightly older but still impressive speedster, he was scared and powerless. He did fulfil a mentor role for a while, and there was nothing wrong with Teddy Sears performance, but without his speed he couldn't contribute all that much, and it's been a few episodes since we saw him. There's got to be more to come from Jay Garrick, because of the name and the hype around the character and the fact they can't just leave that plot hanging, so him somehow getting his speed back before the break, so he can help fight Zoom after it, would be a good way of re-building some excitement for the character.
