CBSWhilst to many, Jimmy Olsen is a small-statured, ginger-haired, slightly geeky photographer, Supergirl surprised fans by depicting James Olsen as a chiseled, muscular, good-looking guy who was overflowing with a certain sort of charisma. This was not the Jimmy Olsen that wed all grew up with, this was not the Jimmy Olsen who required saving or who was in awe of the heroes around him. This was a smoother, cooler Olsen. So, with that said, it was great here to see a different angle to James; to see him positioned as the jealous type rather than the one whos usually got women swooning all around him. Of course, key to all of this was the stunning dynamic between Barry and Kara. Either way, it still gave James something of substance and intrigue to do here.
