The IT Crowd: Every Main Character Ranked Worst To Best

6. Richmond

Seeing Richmond at the bottom of this list is not a sign of goth hating; in fact, it's easy to see why Richmond is one of the most popular and beloved characters in the show. Noel Fielding came into this series with the quirky and odd energy he's known for and had so much fun with the role. This made Richmond a delightful distraction from the norm but couldn't save him from feeling irrelevant.

Richmond was undoubtedly eye-catching thanks to his deep voice, overly macabre tones and Dracula-esque design. Still, despite this, he had very little agency in the series, with no bearing on the plot and very few appearances that lasted more than a few minutes.

Making a good impression in a short amount of time is excellent, but it was hard to think of him as a real lead, especially as his character mainly revolved around one joke - that being his goth lifestyle. If he'd appeared more often, he'd have soared to the top (like Goth 2 Boss), but as it stands, he was too much of a side character.
