The Last Of Us Season 2: Episode 3 (The Path) 4 Ups & 4 Downs

8. Down - The Seraphites

One of the biggest points to take away from this episode of The Last of Us is that the story is now moving away from Jackson. Ellie (Bella Ramsey) and Dina (Isabela Merced) have made their way to Seattle, and with that comes the introduction of a new set of characters.

There was plenty of information given about the Wolves, who they are, and the idea that there are far more of them than either Ellie or Dina anticipated, but there was also a brief glimpse of the Seraphites. The cult plays a major part in the game, though their introduction to the series was somewhat lacking.

Though players of The Last of Us Part II will know who they are, those unfamiliar won't have been given much information, and what they were given was very expositional. Essentially, what seemed like a father talking to his daughter about their prophet before having to hide and eventually being killed.

Their brief time on screen didn't give much away, and certainly didn't give audiences a reason to be too distraught at their deaths. There should be more to come from the group as the season progresses, but they could have done with a stronger first impression.
