10. How Did Gideon Get The Darksaber From Bo-Katan?

The finale of The Mandalorian's debut season left many Clone Wars and Rebels fans picking their jaws off the floor.

Following a near-fatal TIE Fighter crash, Moff Gideon carved his way to safety using the legendary Darksaber. It was clear from previous scenes that Gideon was aware of Din Djarin's identity, and also that he played some part in the "Great Purge".

Throughout that first season, even the Armourer gently kept reminding Din of the Mandalorian purge during the time of the Empire. Many fans feared for the fate of Bo-Katan, the weapon's previous owner, until she surfaced for the first time in live-action for Chapter 11.

As we learn from Gideon himself, he has intimate knowledge of how ownership of the blade passes from one warrior to the next. However, it is never explicitly said just how Gideon managed to get the blade from Bo in the first place.

Did Gideon defeat Bo in single combat? Or was there a more devious method used to seize it?
