The Simpsons: 10 Best Characters Only In One Episode

By Jonathan Cordiner /

1. Hank Scorpio

What can you say about Hank Scorpio? Well, a lot of things actually: the owner of Globex Corporation, Scorpio is an avid fun runner who doesn'€™t believe in walls or being called boss, and he'€™s an evil genius/supervillain. Oh, and he'€™s also the best Simpsons character to only appear in one episode.

You Only Move Twice sees the Simpson clan up sticks and ship out to Cypress Creek, where Homer has been given a new job as the chief motivator of a group of employees in the Globex nuclear division. Everything seems to be going swimmingly until the family finds Cypress Creek to be a tainted paradise, with Marge driven to drinking a whole glass of wine a day by her self-cleaning kitchen, Bart relegated to the remedial class and Lisa betrayed by her beloved Mother Nature. In contrast, Homer has finally found a job he€™s good at and seeks out his boss for some advice about his family€™s predicament.

Hank, despite being in the middle of an assault on his lair by the U.S. military and strapping on a flamethrower, tells Homer that he€™s gonna miss him but he needs to do what€™s best for his family, and if he could kill someone on the way out, it would help him a lot. Hank Scorpio conquered the East Coast and captured the hearts of Simpsons fans everywhere. And he loves German beer.
