6. It'll Get Cancelled

The Ending:

As would probably be the most shocking Simpsons ending of all, dwindling ratings cause the show to finally be cancelled sometime down the line, all the worse if the show-runners aren't given enough notice to give The Simpsons a proper send-off and it just ends ordinarily as a result.

Why They Could Use It:

Because they may have no choice depending on how Disney might handle a potential cancellation.

Why They Might Not:

Disney must appreciate that a show that's made Fox as much money as The Simpsons deserves a proper finale, and so it's unlikely they'd cancel it without giving the writers sufficient warning to get their ducks in a row.
