The Simpsons: 14 Most Controversial Episodes Of All Time

2. MoneyBart

We€™re all familiar with The Simpsons€™ long-running couch gag, and bringing in a controversial street artist to direct the iconic scene was bound to produce some interesting results: that€™s exactly what the show got when they brought Bristolian enfant terrible Banksy on board for MoneyBart€™s opening sequence. The regular couch scene appears, but quickly zooms out to reveal a dreary, depressing South Korean sweatshop pumping out Simpsons animations and merchandise, featuring a beleaguered panda hauling off Bart dolls and a severed dolphin€™s head used as a box sealer. Pretty cheeky considering many Simpsons episodes are animated in South Korea. Nelson Shin €“ founder of animation studio AKOM, which has helped animate the show since its inception €“ was justifiably angry damning the couch gag as "excessive and offending."
