2. Homer Simpson Clone Funeral - Previous Donations Honored
Set in the future in the non-canon episode Days of Future Future, this marquee is another example of a joke totally reliant on the episode itself. It's neither a political nor religious statement, just a commentary on the fact that Homer keeps dying (or well his clones do... eventually they get up to #76!). It's sheer lunacy which makes it sort of fun - who is really going to keep donating with all those clones dying left right and centre anyway? That said, this episode ranked dead last in our review of Simpsons future-themed episodes. The series of church signs throughout the episode is actually one of the high points.
