The Fight Before Christmas - like Simpsons Christmas Stories before it - is an anthology episode broken into several segments, in this case four dream segments based in and around Christmas. However, unlike Season 17's special, this Season 22 Christmas special knocks it out of the park for the most part. While it may not be as good as earlier Simpsons Christmas classics, The Fight Before Christmas still brings the laughs, starting with Bart plotting to kill Santa for not bringing him the gift he really wanted, and ending with a live-action appearance by Katy Perry alongside Simpsons muppets that has a rather naughty oral sex joke between her and Moe the Bartender. Santa no doubt had Perry on the naughty list for that one, but she's probably been on there most years.
