The Episode: "Guardians"

How It Happened: After challenging Alpha's leadership, Helen was decapitated by Alpha with a wire, only for the Whisperer leader to hand over her head to Sean and stab him in the stomach for good measure.

Why It's On This List: The dual deaths of Helen and Sean served to show just how ruthless Alpha really was, ready and willing to get her hands dirty and defend her position even if it meant killing her own people outright in order to do it. It's a classic villain move, but it more than did the trick here.
