2. Ezekiel

This one feels a bit like a freebie, given that the venerable king is, you know, a cancer sufferer. The fact that Ezekiel is struggling with an affliction which still has no cure in the non-zombified world of our reality doesn’t bode well for his survival, and it seems increasingly unlikely that he’ll make it out of this season alive given that we already know he can’t possibly survive the series.

More specifically, Ezekiel’s unseen struggle during the battle on the Hilltop doesn’t bode well for the current status of his health and learning about Carol’s team up with Negan will no doubt put the ailing king under further pressure. Maybe the presence of a serious pre-existing condition could be argued to make Ezekiel’s impending demise more obvious and therefore less likely on a show so committed to wrongfooting its viewers, but we’re pretty certain this one is a safe bet this season.
