The Walking Dead: 10 Greatest Jesus Moments

10. Standing Up For Maggie

Jesus might have been a skilled martial artist, but this was far from his most attractive quality. That honour undoubtedly went to his loyalty, a trait which he demonstrated on many occasions throughout his short stint on the AMC series.

The most obvious example of this came in the eighth season premiere, Mercy (which also happened to be the series' 100th episode). After taking a beating from Negan in the previous episode, all of the survivors from Hilltop, Alexandria and The Kingdom banded together to show solidarity in their war against the vicious tyrant.

Negan's master plan, however, included Hilltop leader Gregory, who threatened to evict his people from their homes if they went against Negan. Ever the hero, Jesus rebuked Gregory's ultimatum, making it clear to all that were listening that the people of Hilltop stood behind Maggie.

It was a rather heartwarming moment, and its one that made us fall even more in love with the Jesus character. It's a shame we never got to see him take up the mantle of Hilltop leader, because with loyalty of this level, he'd have fought to the end to save his people - something that he proved during his final moments on the series.
