This is a point relating back to the fringe characters over-running the show. The Wolves had one job, and that was to kill. That is what the writers decided, yet they didn't actually kill anybody of any significance. The scenes were brutal, but once the dust had settled, we weren't all that bothered about the deaths of largely nameless Alexandrians who were more of a hinderance than anything else. The Walking Dead has a bulging cast brimming with characters who could be in the firing line, yet the show wasted a 'cull' on nobody. If that episode had taken care of a few Alexandrians plus a couple of side characters, it would've served a far greater purpose.
