Introduced at the start of season four, Patrick's life soon ended on the shower floors, where he died due to a mysterious illness and reanimated to wander the cell blocks.

Patrick's late-night stroll created a few new walkers and put the group onto the presence of the spreading sickness, kicking off the season in particularly gory fashion and providing the group with a new type of threat unlike any they'd encountered before.
