With their home destroyed in season five's "No Sanctuary," Gareth and the few remaining members of the Terminus group went on the hunt, following the group and ultimately kidnapping and mutilating Bob.

Lured into a trap set up by the group in Gabriel's church, the Hunters weren't given any mercy, with Rick fulfilling his earlier promise to Gareth that he'd kill him with his red-handled machete while the other Hunters got taken apart in satisfying fashion.
