The Walking Dead Season 11 Review: 4 Ups & 6 Downs From "Hunted"

10. No Commonwealth

Perhaps the most hyped development taking place in The Walking Dead's final season is the long-awaited introduction of the Commonwealth, a large community which appears near the end of the comics and gives the series its final arc.

In the two-part season premiere, the Commonwealth took centre stage, with Eugene, Ezekiel, Yumiko and Princess banding together to get through the mysterious community's vigorous processing procedures so could make contact with a possible future.

This arc has so far has been incredibly compelling and well written, and ended on a major cliffhanger when they passed the entry exam and Eugene finally met his love interest Stephanie (strangely played a different actress than originally credited, alluding to some horribly dramatic deception, perhaps?)

Unfortunately, Hunted features no Commonwealth development, and worse still the promos for episode four seem to promise an entirely Daryl-centric instalment, meaning we're going to have to wait at least two weeks before seeing the Commonwealth in all its glory.
