THE WALKING DEAD Season 2 Premiere Draws 7.3 Million Viewers!
Sunday’s season 2 premiere of The Walking Dead pulled in an impressive 7.3 million viewers and that’s not including the repeat which pushed that figure up to 11 million!
"'The Walking Dead' is one of those rare television programs that reaches both a core genre fan as well as broad audiences simply looking for a great, character-based story," said AMC president Charlie Collier. Can the rest of the season live up to such a strong opening? Especially following the departure of show runner Frank Darabont, he who wrote the first few episodes of the new season before leaving. The real test for the show will be the middle of this season where new show runner Glen Mazzara steps in and his direction really takes hold of the series. What did you think of the first episode? Will you be tuning in next week?
