It's always welcome to hear more about the world before it fell. It's so easy to forget that people had ordinary jobs before they turned 'hunter gatherer' in the new world. Rick was, of course, a sheriff, and Tyreese was an NFL linebacker for the Atlanta Falcons (yes, really!) before society ended. Paula was a solid addition to the show in Episode 13, and hearing more about her life story, her motivation, and her reaction to the downfall of civilisation was genuinely fascinating to hear. It grounds the entire series in some form of reality. Hopefully more characters open up about their pre-apocalypse life as the show rolls on. I'd actually love to see an entire episode of flashbacks to their old lives in comparison, though that's highly unlikely at this stage.
