The Walking Dead Season 6: 12 WTF Moments From 'Thank You'

2. RIP, Glenn Rhee

And there we have it: the death of one of the show's favourite characters. Considerate, no-nonsense, sensible, funny, sincere, heartfelt, human and, indeed, husband, Glenn Rhee bid adieu to The Walking Dead amidst a plentiful amount of blood, guts and gore. For me, this was the biggest death of the series to date, and I'm sure many others will share that viewpoint. The supposedly smart ones of us out there (y'know, the ones who have read the books and so like to think we know what's coming) thought that a rogue called Negan and a certain piece of barbed-wire-covered hardware would be Glenn's demise. In a mighty swerve, Thank You saw Glenn get devoured by walkers thanks to Nicholas' falling, flailing body. Even in his death, Nicholas brought nothing but problems for Glenn. Sure, part of me is clinging on to the hope that somehow Glenn managed to survive, but seriously... did you see the amount of organs and guts being yanked out of him? I guess the only way out of it is that the guts were those of Nicholas, but even then... Glenn has been around from the very beginning of the The Walking Dead, and we've literally not seen the death of an "original" since Season 3, so this one hits hard. It hits very hard. Now we just have to see what repercussions are felt by the rest of the show's familiar faces when they realise Glenn's missing.
