The generic female fall is a trope and convenient act that has been played out to death in horror films over the decades, and its something that The Walking Dead likes to similarly drop in now and again. Usually the person doing the ridiculous, predictable fall (often over a well-placed twig) is a nameless, faceless sort who likely is going to be walker chow quicker than you can say look at the flowers, but the biggest shock about this happening here is that it was Carol, a seasoned, no-nonsense, often-insane Rambo-esque member of the shows familiar faces, who took a tumble. She may have no problems with shooting a child in the back of the head or with burning bodies, but it seems that Carol isnt quite so proficient when it comes to simply not tripping over things.
